Drkoop.com, Drug Emporium Seal E-commerce Pact

Consumer health information Web site drkoop.com, Powell, OH, formed a partnership with drugstore chain Drug Emporium that will be part of an overall e-commerce initiative for drkoop.com, which provides extensive content and banner advertising.


The agreement will allow drkoop.com to market Drug Emporium products within appropriate contexts on its site, while drkoop.com will provide content and certain other features to the Drug Emporium Web site, DrugEmporium.com, which offers prescription drugs and other health and beauty products.


The companies said they expected the services to begin in August. The Drug Emporium agreement is one of a limited number of e-commerce alliances that drkoop.com said it will form.
