DraftWorldwide Merges Promotions Arms

DraftWorldwide has merged its promotional arm and two sibling agencies, Group 3 and KBA Promotions, into a single Chicago-based promotional agency.

Called Surge at DraftWorldwide, the new shop will offer promotional, retail and event marketing services for agency clients. Group 3 specialized in event marketing and promotions, and KBA concentrated on trend influence and experiential marketing.

"We're offering our clients a greater number of services through a single point of entry," said Lee Hill, president of DraftWorldwide Chicago and Surge at DraftWorldwide.

The consolidation within DraftWorldwide means the agency will have more than 800 people working in Chicago. Surge at DraftWorldwide also will get support from 1,400 employees in 50 field offices nationwide.

Surge at DraftWorldwide will serve existing DraftWorldwide clients such as Coca-Cola Co., Burger King Corp., Sprint Corp., Unilever, R.J. Reynolds Co. and Kellogg Co.

There will be no layoffs as a consequence of the merger.
