DoubleClick Takes Majority Stake in Flashbase

DoubleClick, New York, yesterday bought a 60 percent interest in Flashbase, which provides tools for designing and managing online sweepstakes, and agreed to acquire the remaining stake in mid-June.


The New York-based company's tools allow clients to launch and track targeted permission-based e-mail campaigns to sweepstakes entrants.


DoubleClick will immediately continue providing Flashbase's services and bundle them with its media packages.
