*DoubleClick Joins Forces With OmniSky and Vindigo

DoubleClick yesterday announced a partnership with wireless Internet services provider OmniSky Corp., in an attempt to create and deliver ads on hand-held devices.

The two companies are working with wireless users to develop and test advertising services. Wireless ad serving test trials will be launched via the OmniSky service in December in preparation for a full domestic rollout in the first quarter of 2001. DoubleClick, New York, plans to run global trials based on the results of the domestic trials.

OmniSky will use the DoubleClick sales force for all ad sales via its wireless network. DoubleClick will use its DART ad serving technology to perform all wireless ad serving and management.

DoubleClick also said it would begin marketing trials in the first quarter of 2001 to test wireless advertising through Vindigo, a wireless search engine software company.
