Don't be skimpy (says Forbes.com)

Great article on Forbes.com, pointing out that slashing advertising budgets isn't always the most appropriate response to an economic downturn -- and can sometimes even make a sluggish situation even worse, because the cost to regain share of voice can be steep. The key is to use your promotional budget in creative ways that reflect the times and the current mindset of consumers.
