Donnelley Buys Asia Printers Group for $95 Million
R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. signed an agreement this week to purchase Asia Printers Group Ltd. for $95 million in an all-cash deal that expands the company's presence in China.Asia Printers Group is part of Asia Holdings Ltd. It produces bound books, especially children's illustrated books, for distribution worldwide as well as financial documents and annual reports in Asia, particularly Hong Kong.
R.R. Donnelley said it expects the acquisition to be completed in the summer. Asia Printers Group has locations in Dongguan, China, and Hong Kong, and has about 1,400 employees.
