Dollar Rent A Car Systems Inc. is steering traffic to its Web site with a promotion that gives customers double airline miles if they rent a car from www.dollar.com. The promotion runs through the end of May.Customers who enter a particular promotion code on the reservations page of dollar.com and give their frequent flyer number at the time of rental can qualify for the offer. A variety of limitations apply, however.
Carriers cooperating with Dollar include Aloha Airlines, America West, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, Japan Airlines, Northwest Airlines, TWA and United Airlines.
