Doctors Foster & Smith Buys Pet Warehouse

Doctors Foster & Smith Inc., a cataloger of dog and cat supplies, has bought Pet Warehouse Inc., a fish, bird and reptile products cataloger.


The acquisition is expected to add more than $25 million in sales to the company, bringing its combined sales next year to an estimated $150 million.


Rhinelander, WI-based Doctors Foster & Smith offers more than 5,400 pet products, from healthcare items to dog beds, treats and toys.


The deal with Pet Warehouse, Dayton, OH, means the number of pet products available through Doctors Foster & Smith will more than double.
