DoctorDirectory Expands Online Physician Database
DoctorDirectory.com Inc., Asheville, NC, this week announced an agreement that will allow it to leverage online patient-referral services firm Best Doctors Inc.'s database of 27,000 physicians.The deal expands www.doctordirectory.com's selection of physicians once a viewer clicks on one of the site's 40 categories for illnesses. DoctorDirecty.com also links to other online services concerning prescription and nonprescription drugs, as well as information sites that help consumers make better healthcare decisions. Best Doctors, Arlington, VA, acquires its physicians database from an annual peer evaluation of the medical profession. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
