DNC List in Oregon Exceeds 46,000
More than 46,000 Oregonians have signed up for the state's do-not-call list, the Oregon Department of Justice said.The department is responsible for maintaining the list. Since the list went into effect in 1999, more than 60 companies have been fined a total of $200,000 for violations. Oregon charges consumers $6.50 to register for the DNC list and an annual $3 renewal fee.
There are more than 1.4 million households in Oregon, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
