DMNews.com Debuts Sponsored Whitepapers

An overwhelmingly favorable response by readers and advertisers has led DM News to expand its suite of online advertising channels.

According to DM News publisher Adrian Courtenay, two recently launched services -- the DM News Hot List of the Day and DM News Whitepaper of the Day -- have sold all available slots for the rest of 2006. Both of these services have proved to be a "win-win," Mr. Courtenay said.

"Readers get the product and technical information they need, and advertisers are generating the concrete sales leads that they want," he said.

Mr. Courtenay added that advertisers in the DM News Whitepaper of the Day service are reporting hundreds of sales leads from their e-mail blasts.

To handle the demand, DM News' recently revamped Web site at www.DMNews.com now offers the ability to host sponsored whitepapers, which can be downloaded by Web site visitors after registering with DM News. Supplier companies producing the whitepapers can pay a flat fee or a cost-per-lead fee for inclusion in the service.

Mr. Courtenay noted that online advertisers also are devising innovative ways to generate solid sales leads by delivering useful information to DM News readers.

"List advertisers on our Web site and in our DMNews-iMarketing News Daily online newsletter are getting a lot of click-throughs and inquiries when they highlight and link to a specific mailing list in their online ads," he said.

Suppliers of all kinds of services, from e-mail and search marketing to Web analytics and performance marketing, similarly report multiple downloads of their whitepapers when these are offered in banners, towers or buttons on www.DMNews.com or in any of the DM News online newsletters.
