DMers Plan Trade Mission to Canada

American direct marketers will visit Canada May 15-20 during the sixth U.S. trade mission to Canada organized by International Direct Marketing Consultants Inc., Dallas.

The delegation includes catalogers, telemarketers, publishers, e-commerce practitioners, suppliers and vendors. The DMers will visit Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, where they will attend the Canadian Marketing Association's Annual Canadian Direct Marketing Conference. The group also will meet with government officials and local DM experts.

Trade mission director Bill McNutt said U.S. direct marketing firms' interest in the Canadian market is driven by the strength of the Canadian dollar and the country's robust economic growth.

International Direct Marketing Consultants has led more than 50 trade missions globally since 1991. For more information, call 214/443-9494 or e-mail McNutt at billmcnutt@charter.net. This year's mission is limited to eight companies.
