DMA Will Roast, Toast 3 at Insert Luncheon

The Direct Marketing Association's Insert Media Council said yesterday that it will honor Madison Direct Marketing co-founders Chris Hulse and Bruce Gold as well as Peter J. Mendelson, senior vice president of direct marketing for Gerber Life Insurance Co., at the council's annual "Roast and Toast" holiday luncheon Dec. 8.


The event begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Yale Club in New York.


Hulse is president of Madison Direct Marketing. Gold is executive vice president of sales. Madison Direct Marketing offers clients insert marketing opportunities in its own multi-brand direct mail packages.


Mendelson has been in charge of Gerber's direct-to-consumer business since 1992. Under his management, the insert media channel has consistently represented nearly 40 percent of Gerber Life's annual advertising investment.


The "Roast and Toast" is in its eighth year.
