The Direct Marketing Association recently began asking its consumer marketing members to take part in its first Web-site evaluation program starting in mid-August. Digital Marketing Services will conduct the evaluations. The program, which will cost $3,950, is being limited to 50 member sites.

Digital Marketing Services will ask 300 randomly selected consumers to evaluate the chosen sites by answering questions such as: length of time spent at the site; how inviting the site is; ease of navigation around the site; security concerns and likelihood of purchasing from the site. Evaluation reports will contain consumer ratings of all the participating sites. The deadline to sign up for the program is July 24.
