DMA Circulation Day Is Feb. 1

The Direct Marketing Association Circulation Council holds its 19th Annual Circulation Day on Feb. 1 at the New York Marriott Marquis hotel. The conference (www.dmacircday.org) is themed "Bottom-line circonomics: Balancing short- and long-term profits."

Attendees can see 11 sessions on topics such as the power of direct mail, success in single-copy sales, partnerships, issues facing small publishers, subscription renewals and auto renewals, data mining, online marketing, gifting, agents, circulation creative and ideas.

Kim France, editor of Condé Nast Publications' Lucky shopping magazine, will keynote the opening general session. Steve Lacy, president and chief operating officer of Meredith Corp., will give the Hall of Fame luncheon keynote presentation.

The council has not announced this year's DMA Circulation Hall of Fame inductee, the 18th since the honor was instituted in 1988.
