DM News promotes Cara Wood, Nicole Smith

DM News is proud to promote Cara Wood to news editor and Nicole Smith to assistant editor.

Both were editorial assistants on the publication. Ms. Wood will continue to cover online advertising (excluding e-mail and search) and insert media while assuming more editing responsibilities. Ms. Smith will continue to write about magazine circulation and nonprofit fundraising.

"Cara's diligence and Nicole's crisp writing are an asset to DM News," said Mickey Alam Khan, editor in chief. "They keep the reader's needs in mind, which is our core belief."

Ms. Wood and Ms. Smith work alongside DM News senior editors Melissa Campanelli (postal affairs, database/CRM and pharmaceutical) and Chantal Tode (multichannel retail/catalog, print production and business to business) as well as associate editors Dianna Dilworth (e-mail, e-commerce and mobile marketing) and Giselle Abramovich (search and list services).
