DM News Names Alam Khan to Director of Business, Editorial Development
His duties in the new position include developing related editorial, informational and educational spinoffs that leverage the company's audience and core competencies.
Alam Khan, who has been with DM News since 1999, will continue to write the weekly "Agency Beat" column as well as developments in e-commerce and online marketing. He also will devote a substantial portion of his time to researching and developing product extensions such as yearbooks, research initiatives, awards programs and educational services.
"Mickey has been one of our most progressive, prolific and well-connected journalists," editor in chief Tad Clarke said. "He's got a lot of ideas on ways to enhance our range of informational services to the practitioners of direct marketing and e-commerce."
Alam Khan has been covering all aspects of marketing for 10 years. Before joining DM News, he served as a foreign correspondent for Advertising Age.
