BBDO Worldwide has been appointed agency of record (AOR) for Hewlett-Packard Distribution Co.'s (HP's) personal computer and printing business, said Eric Keshin, SVP of marketing in HP's Printing and Personal Systems Group.

Mountain Dew launches a Facebook sweepstakes for gamers

Mountain Dew launched a Facebook sweepstakes on Nov. 7 to promote its partnership with Activision's "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" videogame, said Jenny Danzi, assistant marketing manager for Mountain Dew at PepsiCo. Mountain Dew worked with digital agency RFI Studios to create the "Mega Fan Experience" sweepstakes.

Orbitz launches Facebook sweepstakes campaign

Online travel company Orbitz Worldwide has launched a Facebook sweepstakes to increase consumer participation on its Facebook fan page. Orbitz worked with AOR BBDO and social media agency Socialbomb to create the "Orbitz 50 Faves" sweepstakes.

Draftfcb loses SC Johnson account to BBDO, Ogilvy

SC Johnson & Son has reassigned its global advertising account after a decades-long relationship with Draftfcb. The Racine, Wis.-based company hired BBDO for advertising for its pest-control and home-storage divisions and Ogilvy & Mather for ad duties for its fragrance and home-cleaning units.

Omnicom specialty marketing, CRM grow in Q1

Omnicom Group's first-quarter 2011 specialty marketing services revenue increased 6.6% to $288.5 million, compared with the same quarter of last year. Overall company revenue increased 7.9%, compared with Q1 2010, to $3.15 billion.
