Direct Media Gets Thompson List, Inserts

Direct Media Inc., Greenwich, CT, announced its appointment yesterday as manager for the Thompson & Co. postal file and its insert media programs.


The Thompson & Co. catalog list has 224,000 buyers of cigars, tobacco, pipes and gifts. The file is 95 percent male with an average age of 45 and an average household income of $75,000.


Selections include geography, recency, dollar, home address, business address, multi-buyers and credit card. Thompson also added a newly available golfer segment to the file.


The base price is $105/M.


The Thompson & Co. package insert program consists of 950,000 annual packages, and its catalog blow-in program has 7 million annual catalogs.
