Direct Media Creates Fund for Daughter of Slain Employee

Direct Media Inc. yesterday set up a trust fund for Mia Sophie Runge, the 3-month-old daughter of slain employee Jens Runge.


Donations to the Direct Media Mia Sophie Fund can be mailed to DMI at 200 Pemberwick Road, Greenwich, CT 06830, to the attention of Rick Sarli, chief financial officer. For more information, Sarli can be reached by e-mail at rsarli@directmedia.com.


Runge, who was shot and killed in an apparent murder/suicide June 27, was sales manager of the business brokerage division at Direct Media.


His parents, Claus and Helga Runge, and a sister, Petra Runge, all of Hameln, Germany, also survived Runge.


Funeral services were held yesterday at Adams-Cordovano Funeral Home in Carmel, NY. Interment will be in Wehl Cemetery in Hameln, Germany.
