Stack magazine, a lifestyle publication for teen athletes, has increased its rate base to 400,000 with its February issue.

This is a 100,000 increase from its initial launch in 2005.

The title is dedicated to helping teen athletes improve their performance safely and effectively. It also focuses on fighting the nation's burgeoning youth steroid epidemic by filling the information void for high-school training information.

The February issue marks the magazine's two-year anniversary and features New Orleans Hornet's point guard, Chris Paul.

There is currently a subscription waiting list of more than 200 high schools for Stack.

According to Teenage Research Unlimited Inc., the teen market's buying power is projected to be $208 billion by 2008.

Cleveland, OH-based Stack has partnered with advertisers such as Nike, Gatorade, U.S. Marines, Adidas, Sony PlayStation and New Balance.

Stack last year introduced MyStack at www.mystack.stackmag.com, a social networking site created for high school athletes. It allows users to create searchable profiles, as well as upload videos of their high school highlights and games.
