The FedEx Master Executive Council, the governing body of the FedEx unit of the Air Line Pilots Association International, will announce today at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time the vote results in the pilots' contract ratification ballot.

The 4,700 FedEx pilots have been voting on the contract since Sept. 18.
Balloting will end at 9 a.m. Central Time on Oct. 17, with the results to be released shortly after the close of balloting.

FedEx Express, a unit of Memphis, TN-based FedEx Corp., reached a tentative agreement with the ALPA, the collective bargaining representative for FedEx Express pilots. The two parties announced the deal Aug. 27.

If ratified, the four-year contract would become amendable in 2010.
