FedEx Picks Convergys for Call Center Service Support

FedEx Corp. hired teleservices provider Convergys Corp. yesterday to provide call center technical support for its subsidiary, FedEx Corporate Services Inc.


Convergys, Cincinnati, will provide multichannel support services to FedEx customers using FedEx platform PCs, software and printers. The systems help FedEx customers track their shipments.


The contract is for three years. Further terms of the agreement were not released.


Convergys has more than 45,000 employees in more than 50 call centers worldwide and handles more than 1.2 million customer contacts daily. In April, the company announced a new contract to provide a new billing and customer relationship management system to phone, cable and Internet services provider RCN Corp.
