DMA, American Catalog Mailers Association pledge team effort on postal issues

Trade groups the Direct Marketing Association and the American Catalog Mailers Association pledged to work together on postal issues on March 11.

The groups promised to work in tandem on postal issues at the US Postal Service, the Postal Regulatory Commission and Congress, as well as in fighting Do Not Mail legislation at the state and local levels.

The organizations also urged all catalog mailers to join both groups. “Both the ACMA and the DMA are under-resourced from the catalog community. Our ability to operate successfully requires the financial resources, executive time and broad-based membership of catalog mailers and their suppliers,” the groups said in a joint statement.
