Billboard: Russia with love

Following in the steps of Hearst Magazines and American Express Publishing, Nielsen Business Media's Billboard magazine has launched a consumer publication in Russia.

Billboard's Russian expansion comes soon after the music title's recent extension into Turkey. Since its launch in November, Billboard Turkey has more than doubled its circulation to 26,000.

Both new consumer music magazines feature new bands, CD releases, concerts and artist profiles, as well as the Billboard charts.

Billboard Russia will be published through a licensing agreement with C-Media Publishing House. Produced monthly, it will have an initial circulation of 25,000.

The new title will have 120 editorial pages, including 32 shared pages of Billboard USA content and an average of 18 pages of the Billboard charts.

Billboard Russia will hit newsstands today.
