Arandell incorporates BCC Software to aid IMB transition

Arandell, a printer with catalog clients including Target, Macy's and Neiman Marcus, has added BCC Software's Mail Manager Full Service platform to increase its compatibility with the Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB).

"With all of the changes that are coming from the USPS as far as the IMB and co-mailing, what [BCC] had to offer was exactly what we were looking for that would fit in to the systems that we have in place today, make it easier and more efficient and give us the data that we need in terms of planning," said Don Landis, VP of postal affairs for Arandell.

In addition to providing integrated support for the Full Service Intelligent Mail barcode, the software features a suite of CASS- and PAVE-certified presorting and list management functionality. It also includes an address-matching API.

"Certainly there's the name and address aspect of it — we ensure that that information is kept complete, correct and current," said Chris Lien, EVP of BCC. "But there's also a bunch of the mail preparation aspects — location and delivery sequence, for example — required by the IMB that's pushing software down a path of enhanced postal business intelligence."
