Direct marketing services provider Acton, yesterday introduced the Just Pack Japan new business co-op mailing.

The co-op mailing is geared toward new or newly moved businesses in Japan's Tokyo and Osaka regions after their telephone service is connected.

Organizations that sell office supplies and products, electronics, computer software, seminars, magazines, books, directories, credit cards, business travel, executive gifts, business and financial services will likely be interested in this program, the company said.

Current users include Ujiyamada tea/coffee brand, San Mineral Water System, Ueshima Coffee machine maker, ad agency Sanplanning, Sanyo Business, Urban Uniform and Kansai Uniform.

Inserts are placed loosely in the custom-designed Just Pack envelope and couriered each working day to the newly moved business. A cover letter explains the Just Pack concept of delivering information on products or services that will be required by newly opened or transferred offices.

The average monthly deliveries in Tokyo are 2,200 and 1,600 in Osaka. The introductory first month test price is $375/M. The regular price is $750/M. There is a 20 percent commission to recognized brokers.
