Direct Impact Marketing, Makovsky to Cross-Sell Services

Direct Impact Marketing Inc. and public relations firm Makovsky & Co. have entered into a strategic alliance to cross-sell each agency's services to clients.


Direct Impact's direct mail, media buying, custom publishing, e-mail and viral marketing services will be promoted to Makovsky's clients. Direct Impact, a Norwalk, CT, start-up, will do likewise for Makovsky, offering the New York agency's PR services to clients. The shops will split revenue.


"Especially in the PR segment, there's not a lot of ways to quantify PR campaigns, and additionally Internet marketing and some of the traditional direct response advertising that we offer helps," said Angelo Biasi, president and managing director at Direct Impact Marketing.


Founded in February, Direct Impact has such clients as Village Bagels, Norwalk, CT; New Jersey retailer Music 1-2-3; and National Guitar Workshop, Litchfield, CT.


Makovsky has been around for 21 years. Clients include Cigna, Britain's Royal Mail, Celgene, PSEG.
