Digitas' Rossman to join AKQA as president

Digitas' Jim Rossman is jumping ship to join AKQA as its president/chief operating officer. Rossman will leave his current role as chief operating officer at Digitas, the Publicis Groupe direct and digital marketing unit, later in April to join AKQA.

“As we continue to rapidly expand, we want to add senior leadership to the AKQA executive team,” said Tom Bedecarre, CEO of AKQA, in a statement. “We're looking forward to welcoming Jim later in April and introducing him to our organization,”

Rossman will be based in the AKQA New York office and will report directly to Bedecarre in his new role.

Rossman joined Digitas in 2001 to manage the New York office, and he has served as the Digitas COO for the past five years. Prior to working with Digitas, Rossman held senior management positions at Young & Rubicam and Wunderman.

Rossman holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
