UK's Homepage4.com Debuts More 'Democratic' Search Engine

Share this content:

British firm Homepage4.com has created a self-named search engine based on a belief that trading on the Internet is undemocratic because those who pay the most for advertising get the most clicks.

With the site at www.homepage4.com, businesses can submit text, audio, video or all three as ads on the same page.

Homepage4.com uses technology that is being tested by Google and Microsoft.

Submitting an ad is currently free, but soon a text ad will cost about 17 cents maximum for one day. Audio and video ads will cost a little more but also will be charged on a per-day basis.
