Taylor & Francis Pens Agreement for E-Book Capabilities

E-publishing services firm Versaware Inc. will convert 17,000 book titles to e-book form for academic publishing company Taylor & Francis Group.


Taylor & Francis Inc., Philadelphia, will be able to sell its range of college-level physical sciences textbooks in a print-on-demand online channel, as well as pure digital documents. The publishing firm plans to offer the literature through third-party e-tailers, as well as at www.taylorandfrancis.com. Taylor & Francis said it will handle the fulfillment for the business-to-consumer and business-to-business transactions for the e-books.


Versaware, New York, will gain a client in the academic publishing market, one of the remaining land-rush sectors for e-publishing services firms. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
