TargitMail Announces Direct Service
Campaigns are ordered and paid for by credit card at TargitMail.com and can be tracked at a secure Web page.
Called TargitMailDirect, the offering was also designed to make TargitMail's regular e-mail marketing service available for small-run campaigns.
Before this service, TargitMail avoided handling small campaigns because smaller orders mean smaller profits, said Jim Campbell, TargitMail vice president of marketing. In addition, TargitMailDirect frees sales representatives to focus on clients that have bigger projects.
"Essentially, Direct cuts us out of the loop for the (smaller campaigns)," he said. Campbell added that customer service reps, if needed, are available to assist with any step of the service.
TargitMail, Portsmouth, NH, offers its database of more than 12 million e-mail addresses as part of the service. Marketers can compile a personalized list through the database's search engine technology, called eTom, by keying in words describing a campaign's demographic audience.
TargitMailDirect campaigns can use text, html and multimedia attachments, but campaigns involving video and audio content will have to be done with the support of a customer rep.
TargitMailDirect will debut on infoUSA.com but also will be at TargitMail.com sometime this fall. Pricing for the service was not available.
