Starz Encore Goes Back to School With College Crowd

Cable TV company Starz Encore said yesterday it plans to launch a multichannel marketing campaign to attract college students to the company's movie channel package.

The "College Pop Culture Campaign" will run until the end of September and include postcards, door hangers, fliers, table tentcards, banners and posters.

The marketing aims to drive college students to, the company's first campaign-focused Web site. The site includes access to streaming video, screensavers, desktops and e-mail updates. Students also will be able to order the company's Starz Super Pak, a package of 13 digital movie channels, through an exclusive offer available via the site.
