SportsLine.com's Fantasy Football Revenue Grows 36%

SportsLine.com Inc. announced yesterday that billings from its fantasy football subscription service grew to $12 million in 2003, a 36 percent increase from $8.8 million in 2002.

Last year was the first that SportsLine offered fee-based fantasy leagues, and it rolled out several new features this year. For example, it struck a deal in which some of its fee-based football services are cobranded and available to NFL.com users as part of a revenue-sharing agreement with the National Football League.

SportsLine has more than 80,000 paid leagues and 800,000 teams this year, up 25 percent over total paid leagues in 2002. The average price per unit for the league management service rose 6 percent this year to more than $133.

SportsLine, Fort Lauderdale, FL, is the publisher of CBS SportsLine.com and the official Web sites of the NFL, PGA Tour and NCAA sports.
