Web research firm Harris Interactive Inc. yesterday announced a list of expectedly positive results for e-marketers from a recent survey that said computer and Internet use in American homes and work places has risen dramatically in the last five years.

In a December telephone poll of more than 2,000 adults, the Rochester, NY-based firm found that 47 percent of them used computers at work and 79 percent of those users were online.
