Rather Talk Shop Than Dinner

People would rather talk about their last online shopping excursion than their last trip to the movie theater or favorite restaurant, according to three independent studies released this week.

The studies found that the average American adult tells 8.6 people about their favorite movie and 6.1 people about their favorite restaurant, compared to telling 12 other people about their last online shopping trip.

The research was conducted by Opinion Research Corporation International, Princeton, NJ, and sponsored by priceline.com. It was compiled from 1,000 interviews with priceline.com customers.
