PhoneFree to Market RCN's Dial-Up Service

PhoneFree.com, New York, will market cable provider RCN Corp.'s dial-up Internet service through its TalkShop online communications store, PhoneFree announced this week.


PhoneFree, which provides free voice-over-Internet phone service, will make RCN's dial-up service available to its 2.8 million registered users through its Web site, www.phonefree.com.


For a flat monthly fee, RCN, Princeton, NJ, is offering unlimited Web access, two e-mail addresses and 10 megabytes of Web space for personal use.


Details of the agreement between PhoneFree and RCN were not released.
