Performics' Merchants Gain Access to Shop.Com Marketplace

Online marketplace Shop.com is expected to announce today that Performics has been certified for product data integration in its data feed provider program, an initiative introduced earlier this year designed to ensure better and more accurate presentations of merchant offerings in Shop.com's marketplace.

With the program, each of the three data integration feeds has its own Shop.com certification and a DFP can be tested and certified for any or all of a merchant's feeds.

Once certified by Shop.com, data feed providers are authorized for the marketplace and can send frequent product feeds on behalf of a merchant. They can also introduce any of their merchants to the marketplace.

There are three types of data that can be uploaded: The merchant's product data, order processing data and order status information.

Performics is the performance-based marketing division of DoubleClick, New York. It provides online marketing services and technologies like affiliate marketing, search engine marketing, data feed marketing and online lead generation programs .

Shop.com, Monterey, CA, provides consumers with easy access to products from retailers like Target, Circuit City, Harry and David, Brookstone, Smith & Hawken, Hammacher Schlemmer, One Hanes Place and SmartBargains.com.
