NetCreations' Postmasterdirect.com List Affiliate Network

E-mail list management and development company NetCreations, New York, launched an affiliate program last week offering referrals 25 percent of the profit for each name rented for one year.

Similar to the Amazon affiliate program, where special interest sites can drive traffic to the bookstore to receive a cut of sales from the merchant site, it offers a percentage of profit for referrals but is much higher than that typical to other affiliate programs.

It is being promoted to NetCreations' clients via a direct email campaign. Visitors to the list owner's site are invited to join email mailing lists on a variety of topics. If they do join, their names are held in NetCreations' database, and mailings to those names will be offered to brand name clients for a fee.

One of the partners promoting the program "very aggressively" according to NetCreations' list manager Michael Szerencsy, is Pocketstuffers.com, a Web site for free stuff.

"Pocketstuffer has promoted the program most strongly and has already recruited 403 affiliates" he said.

The company this month hired three new recruits: Louise Price as marketing manager, Gary Sindler as CFO and Larry Mahon, vice president of sales.
