Monster.com's Membership Continues to Grow

Career-based Web portal Monster.com Inc. announced yesterday results from a new Media Metrix Internet rating that shows the online employment service to be leading its field in viewership, as well as being one of the top 100 sites of any kind visited in November.

Monster.com, Maynard, Mass., said it has more than 5 million members, 2.3 million resumes posted, and more than a quarter of a million job offerings that currently fill the site.

Its announcement comes on the heels of a four-year, $100 million agreement earlier this month with Internet provider America Online Inc., Dulles, VA. The deal exclusively links Monster.com to AOL's "career search" button. The Web portal's ratings should continue to climb because of AOL's 20-million customers.
