MindArrow Adds Video Links to E-Mails

MindArrow Systems, a provider of direct digital marketing software and services, will offer its clients the ability to include video links in their e-mail marketing campaigns, the company said yesterday.


MindArrow will offer the technology through an agreement with streaming video provider ShowMeTV. MindArrow clients will insert links in their e-mail campaigns that send end-users to www.showmetv.com, where they can view the videos. Marketers will be able to cross-market or upsell their products or services by using ShowMeTV's video technology for services such as product support and how-to information.


The deal also marks the first time ShowMeTV will offer its clients MindArrow's e-mail marketing capabilities. ShowMeTV has about 15 clients.


"E-mail marketing is not a core component of our technology," said Laurence Nathanson, co-founder and director of marketing at ShowMeTV, Redwood City, CA. "So instead of building a service like that, we felt that it was easier and more efficient to partner with a company that's already focused in on that area."


MindArrow, Aliso Viejo, CA, which has about 200 clients, plans to promote the new service through its e-brochures platform.
