ExactTarget Allies With Conclusive Strategies for Improved E-Mail Relevance

ExactTarget, an e-mail software solutions firm, and Conclusive Strategies partnered to help marketers add more relevant customer data to their e-mail databases.


According to the deal, ExactTarget, Indianapolis, becomes an exclusive reseller of Austin, TX-based Conclusive Strategies' proprietary Constellation Customer Profile Reports.


The agreement allows ExactTarget customers to append their current e-mail databases with additional customer data, as well as compare their e-mail databases to their other customer databases, such as direct mail.


"The whole goal of e-mail is relevance," said Chris Baggott, chief marketing officer of ExactTarget. "You can't have a relationship with me, unless you can talk relevantly to me."


Constellation's reports summarize key demographic and lifestyle characteristics of a group of subscribers, compare them to a randomly selected sample of the general population from the same geographic area and produce an information-heavy view of e-mail customers.
