DM News calls for submissions for Essential Guide to Search Engine Marketing
Editorial submissions are invited for the next edition of DM News' Essential Guide to Search Engine Marketing, a must-read collection of articles from experts in the field.
The magazine supplement will comprise case studies, research and how-to tips on search engine marketing and optimization and strategy and tactics for customer-acquisition and -retention purposes. It will complement DM News' continued print and online coverage of search marketing.
Deputy editor Melissa Campanelli will edit the edition. The supplement is part of the DM News' Essential Guide series that includes editions on multichannel retail, e-mail marketing, direct response television and the delivery-focused Deliver (now available as PDFs at http://www.dmnews.com/cms/dm-opinion/essential-guides.html).
Industry experts and practitioners, both client and supplier side, may submit 400-word, well-edited pieces on topics such as search basics, copywriting, creative testing, press-release optimization, hiring a search agency, search marketing versus optimization, linking, pay-per-click strategies, organic rankings, bidding strategies and keyword selection.
Other topics may include whether local search is living up to its promise, mobile search, search arbitrage, search engine-friendly Web site design, search engines primer, search and other marketing channels, contextual advertising (in house or outsourced), social search, landing-page testing, video search optimization, click fraud and commentary on how rising keyword prices may be driving small businesses out of the search market.
Case studies and related research will support these articles.
Each article will include the author's name, title, company, city, state and e-mail address, along with a high-resolution color JPEG headshot and images to illustrate the piece. Articles cannot be accepted if these requirements are not met.
Please contact Ms. Campanelli with ideas for articles at email@example.com. In the subject line please write "Search Guide." Once commissioned, the article's turnaround time is 10 days. Deadline for all article submissions is April 27.
The guide, valued for its insights, advice and shelf life, will be polybagged with the June 25 issue of DM News. It will be sent to all 50,300 subscribers of DM News and distributed at major trade shows where the publication exhibits. The PDF will be available at http://www.dmnews.com/ after June 25. Companies interested in advertising should contact DM News' associate publisher Robert DiGioia at firstname.lastname@example.org.
