CVS to Launch Ads on Microsoft Network

Microsoft Corp., Redmond, WA, and CVS/Pharmacy, Woonsocket, RI, said yesterday the companies have agreed on a multimillion-dollar online advertising deal that provided with exclusive elements within areas of, a Top 3 Internet portal site. ads will run throughout the MSN network of Internet services, and will also target areas that reach consumers as they look for healthcare information or shop for health-related products. will be featured on the MSN Health Channel, Pharmacy Quicklink from the Hotmail-based e-mail service, MSN search and WomenCentral's Health section. The MSN e-Shop Health and Wellness Channel will feature links to's pharmacy counter, vitamins and herbs, and health and wellness sections.

"MSN will work with to accomplish several key goals through online advertising, including increasing brand awareness, generating traffic to the site and building repeat customers," said Jed Savage, Eastern sales manager for MSN.
