Convergys to Provide Outsourced Customer Care for HP
Convergys Corp., Cincinnati, said yesterday that it would provide Web-based sales and service support for hpshopping.com, the e-commerce site of computer maker Hewlett-Packard Co., Palo Alto, CA. Convergys will supply its CybeResponse suite of Internet-based technologies, which include collaborative Internet browsing, Internet text chat and Web-callback. These will augment the existing customer services HP provides for its e-commerce site.
The terms of the contract were not disclosed.And, Convergys, which operates 36 call centers in North America and Europe, provides outsourced customer care and billing services from 20,000 Web-enabled workstations and more than 40,000 toll-free telephone lines.
