College Students to Save Cash at Online Auctions

College books online retailer ecampus.com Inc. yesterday announced it will launch an online auction site in March that will target cash-conscious students looking for bargains on books and aparrel.


The Lexington, KY-based firm has an undisclosed Web site development deal with e-commerce service provider FairMarket Inc., Woburn, MA, to create a site that will serve a similar purpose to that of a college newspaper's classified ads. ecampus.com says the auction site will diversify its market reach by offering a communication base for buyers and sellers of college-oriented goods.
