BPA and I/PRO Debut New Online Subscription Audit Service
Called BPA Interactive Subscription Audit by I/PRO, the product is designed to validate a publisher's online subscription base. It will also offer third-party validation of the number of visitors who have accessed a site's password-protected content.
"The new offering allows publishers to present validated data to media buyers and marketers that parallel the data used in making buying decisions for traditional print products," BPA International president/CEO Glenn Hansen said in a statement.
Despite a challenging environment, online paid content spending jumped 22 percent in the first half of 2003 versus the same time a year ago, according to the Online Publishers Association. Subscriptions account for about 90 percent of all content sales and single or small payments the rest.
