Bloomingdale's, WeddingChannel Co-Brand Bridal Registry Site

Bloomingdale's and are offering an online bridal registry designed to allow the friends and families of engaged couples to shop for gifts at all hours.

Bridal registration for the site is available at and at Bloomingdale's stores. The site consists of separate channels for couples, guests and general shopping for such items as luggage, fine china and table linens.

To promote the launch, the two firms are sponsoring a shopping spree sweepstakes at the Bloomingdale's flagship store at 59th Street in New York, in which a couple will win a weekend trip to the city.

The couple will be able to bring two friends, and the party will be given two nights' accommodations, including a dinner cruise. In addition, the couple will be rewarded a $5,000 shopping spree at Bloomingdale's. Couples who register for the new site before Nov. 19 will be entered automatically.

Bloomingdale's, a New York-based division of Federated Stores Inc., and WeddingChannel, San Francisco, did not disclose details of their agreement.
