Articles Invited for DM News' Essential Guide to Search Engine Marketing
The annual magazine-sized supplement will include case studies, how-tos, research and advice on how to navigate paid and organic search marketing. Like last year's edition, this year's book will target both beginners and experts in search marketing.
Topics planned include search basics and best practices, copywriting, press release and Web page optimization, technology and software, budgeting, keyword ranking, click fraud, research, paid search with organic and standalone options, optimization with blogs, RSS feeds and podcasts, brand control, local search and buying keywords.
Many of the articles will be advertiser-led case studies. Last year's edition included case studies from REI, Fairmont Hotels, CompUSA, hpshopping.com, Virgin Vacations and GiftCertificates.com.
Articles should not exceed 400 words. They should demystify the search discipline in short, tightly edited and insightful pieces. Each article should be accompanied by graphics and the author's jpeg headshot, name, title, company, city, state and e-mail address.
The guide will drop to DM News' circulation of 50,300 with the June 26 issue. Extra distribution is earmarked for year-round trade show distribution. Please address all submission ideas to Mickey Alam Khan at email@example.com. The subject line should read SEM Guide submission.
