ADC Adds Mobile Sales Alert

ADC will offer wireless providers and their customers a mobile sales alert service through an alliance with SalesMountain, a wireless and wire-line network for localized sales and promotion advertising, ADC said this week.

ADC, Minneapolis, is a supplier of fiber optics, network equipment, software and integration services for broadband multiple-service networks.

This new service will allow subscribers to search for sales on particular items in their favorite shopping areas.

SalesMountain content is designed to increase revenues and subscriber loyalty for service providers by driving higher call time and frequency. Through participating service providers, consumers can get instant wireless updates on the best available prices for thousands of products at local stores.

It currently provides sales and specials information on brands ranging from Kraft, New Balance and Bridgestone/Firestone to Ralph Lauren and John Deere and on stores such as Ann Taylor, The Limited, Phar-Mor and GNC.
